Macaya Productions of Arts and
Honorary Organization, is a multicultural group
composed of a dozen members. Drama is its main vehicle
to attain its objective. The purposes of this
organization are threefold:
·
To maintain alive, the Haitian’s heritage,
through poetries, drama, dance and music.
·
To entertain and motivate the new
generation (especially those of Haitian descent, who
were born in United States) toward creativity and
leadership.
·
To lift upwards the cultural understanding
beyond generations, but between layers of the same
community, from professionals to workers.
Our slogan
is: “An Bien-Etre du Développement Culturel Haitien.“
Our 20th
anniversary celebration will start with a trip Cap
Haitian where Haitian theater was born in1740
Macaya
Productions is an endeavor open to art lovers, and
anyone who's interested in joining it at the
level of his/her choice. It’s a very high standard
cultural group that demands for a lot and different kind
of support from the community.
We have an administrative
committee consisting of a
President, a vice president, a secretary, a treasurer, a
public relation, and advisers. Beside the Haitian
American College Students that motivates Youngsters,
freshly added in our structure we have added “ Theatre
de Verdure Enneigée“ and “ Comédie Endimanchée“ for the
delectation of our diverse audience.
Radio

Not long ago we used to air at Radio Sanba 91.5 FM,
Macaya FM; a weekly Cultural Info Segment. Now we
continue to reach out through “Rencher Express” or
“Perspectives Haitiennes“, at the same station.
By the end
of the year 2008, we’ll inaugurate our own Radio online
“ Macaya FM, la culture haïtienne en ondes.
